     Whiplash is the leading, most popular open-source CGI/IRC client. It is an open-source and is fully customizable to be integrated into any website. Because it is HTML based, you can give your users a completely unique chat experience. It uses server push and client pull streaming, Sys V Inter-process Communication, Socket Building and Management, Hashes to speak RFC, the SDBM Hash database, Signal and Process Management, and Java script scrolling.
