Xedit supports all the old editing commands of XEDIT and helps you to change over from mainframe (VM/CMS) 3270 terminals to an e-business environment. Though it simulates the old editing user interface, it is fully based on e-business technology. Xedit allows use of the full Unicode character set instead of the more limited EBCDIC. This treats the documents as an array of lines and supports the block-edit commands, controls the cursor movements, and supports versatile editing features like clipboard pasting, dialog boxes for searching/replacing, unicode support, full undoing/redoing and more.
