     Protects Downloadable Products Against Unauthorized Downloads. Imagine a product that requires no inventory, does not occupy any physical space, and can be sold and delivered automatically at any time. In an ideal sense, that's what digital products are. Of course there are development and marketing costs. And you need a secure way of delivering the product. You could provide a payment form or shopping cart with a link to the downloadable product file, but just about anybody could find the file and download it for free! The solution is an automated, secure system that only allows access to the products after payment has been processed and protects the product files against unauthorized downloads. An encrypted code is generated for each transaction and stored in a secure database. Attempts to access the product download page without a valid transaction code will result in an error page. This feature is enhanced by using the optional AuthorizeNet payment form security secret, which provides an even higher level of encryption. After payment has been processed, a random password is automatically generated and e-mailed to the customer. This verifies the customer's e-mail address and is required to access the download area. The password will automatically expire in a number of days, which is set by the administrator. When adding a digital product to the shopping cart, the file name is stored in a secure database. The actual data is renamed and saved under a different file name on the server. When delivery of the product file is authorized, the program displays the product name that you gave to it.
