     This script gives the count of the number of visitors to your website within the past x (so many) minutes, hours or days. You can calculate that there were X visitors reaching this page since the past Y minutes. The script can also give information on the number of unique visitors on a web page or site since the past so many minutes/ hours. On reload, the script checks for the same IP address recorded previously and updates it to new date/time, hence there is no repeated count for the same visitor. If the IP address is not found, the script creates a new record, and the counter number goes up by 1. There is also the provision of deleting records which are older than a number of hour/ days, depending on the settings that you have made.
