PlayBasic is a powerful game making language for windows. It was designed to make game programming more accessible for beginners, right through to experienced game programmers. Enabling you to bring your game ideas to life in a fraction of the time of other languages.
It achieves this, via including as much inbuilt features as possible, letting you focus more on constructing your games, rather than learning the many techniques behind it. Since PlayBasic focuses upon game creation, it includes a wealth of real time graphical features & effects. From Mapping, Sprites, Image effects, 2D Cameras, Vector Shapes & Collision, Texture Mapping through to a full set of traditional 2D vector art. The graphics engine also includes support for various special effects like Alpha Blending (variable, additive, subtractive), Rotation, Scaling, logical masking through to Raster Bar and real time Colour Replacement just to name a few.
The PlayBasic package comes with a comprehensive program editor, with integrated searchable help, built in debugger and over 400 examples to get you started.
